Big news!
Our 2026 Training Calendar is officially live, and it’s packed with opportunities to strengthen culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice across the sector.
Why join us?
Because these programs aren’t just training—they will allow you to build the skills that will assist you in working toward better outcomes for children, families, and communities.
Each session is designed by experts and grounded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, ensuring cultural responsiveness and practical application.

What’s on the calendar?
✔ Aboriginal Temporary Carer Assessment Training – Build confidence in culturally responsive assessments.
✔ Kinship FULL Carer Assessment Training – Deep dive into kinship care frameworks.
✔ Carer Review Assessment Training – Equip yourself for ongoing carer review and support.
✔ KiDs SAY Training – Amplify the voices of kids in care.

And that’s just the beginning!
We’ll continue updating the calendar throughout the year as part of our ongoing review.
New dates and sessions will be added regularly, so keep an eye out or subscribe to our updates to stay ahead.

Our very own Dr. Karen Menzies

Meet Karen Menzies, Australia's first Indigenous Matilda
Karen Menzies is an amazing Aboriginal woman and a former long-term member of the Winangay Board.

Karen is an Indigenous Australian woman from the Wonnarua people in the Hunter Valley, in New South Wales (NSW). Karen worked as a social worker on the Stolen Generations Inquiry at the Australian Human Rights Commission, where she was witness to hundreds of very personal and painful testimonies from Indigenous Australians who had been forcibly removed from their families.
